Dr. Ikuba John Ona is a systems thinking, project management, and policy development specialist with over 19 years of experience across academia, research, entrepreneurship, and development practice. He is an Associate Professor of Applied Chemistry at Joseph Sarwuan Tarka University Makurdi (JOSTUM), formerly the Federal University of Agriculture, Makurdi, and serves as Project Management Officer at the Institute of Procurement, Environmental and Social Standards (IPESS), a World Bank–funded SPESSE Centre of Excellence.

He holds a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Applied Chemistry from the University of Jos and a Ph.D. in Pure and Applied Chemistry from the University of Strathclyde, UK. A certified Project Management Professional (PMP)
